Recently got a Dreambox 500-S. Nice nifty little thing. I get all my Free To Air channels without any issues.

But some of the encrypted channels i need to wait for a long time before something shows up for 3 seconds or so before it freezes up. I have a 128 kbps DSL. I am pretty sure it is because of that. But i just want to confirm.

Is there any other Gemini Mods (firmware) that i can use that will help me view these paid channels?

Is there any TV cards that i can use in my pc with a full blown linux type application that i can install and use ?
